Designed by LGL Studio, the 16-digit vacuum fluorescent display combines hard-core display technology with a clean exterior design that leaves a lasting impression. The transparent acrylic makes the components on the PCB fully visible, and thanks to its special light-emission principle, this distinctive desktop clock is bright yet non-glare, delivering a unique visual experience.

A VFD operates on vacuum electron emission: electrons are emitted from the cathode in a vacuum, pass through the grid, and strike the phosphor-coated anode to produce a gentle glow directly. Unlike electronic displays that rely on diffusers to even out the light, each pixel in a VFD is itself a light source. Its light is naturally focused, with ultra-fast response and high contrast, delivering a visual experience that is three-dimensional, transparent, and softly luminous—yet rich in depth.
