Compact VFD Desk Clock

VCK 16 is a compact VFD desk clock designed for everyday display, Wi-Fi time sync, and reliable offline use. It keeps the visual character of a real fluorescent display while adding practical modern controls for desk, studio, shelf, and nightstand setups.

Size & Power

Compact at 6.89 × 1.38 × 1.57 in, VCK 16 is powered by USB-C 5V and is designed for low-power desktop use. Please use a 5V USB power source rated 0.5A or above.

Wi-Fi Time Sync & Offline Mode

Connect through 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for precise NTP time synchronization. The clock supports time zone selection, DST, and automatic time sync. When Wi-Fi is not available, it can also run in offline/manual mode.

Display Modes & Functions

Switch between Time, Time + Day + Date, and Time + Alarm display modes. VCK 16 also includes alarms, stopwatch, countdown timer, and full 12/24-hour format support.

CIG Tube Technology

The Chip-in-Glass VFD tube integrates the display driver IC inside the vacuum glass tube, reducing external display-driver wiring and creating a clean exposed-PCB aesthetic with vintage industrial character.

Brightness, Fonts & Animation

The display supports 4-level manual brightness adjustment, automatic light sensing, 3 customizable fonts, page-flip animation, and smooth transition effects. The classic fluorescent green glow is clear, stable, and easy to read.

FAQ
How do I power and connect?

Use the included USB-C cable with your own 5V power source, 0.5A or above. Long-press Settings to enter AP mode, connect to VFD_Clock_AP, and save your Wi-Fi information.

Is it compatible with iOS and Android?

Yes. The web control page can be accessed from common iOS and Android devices through a browser after the clock is connected to your network.

Can it run offline?

Yes. Switch to Offline mode in Settings and set the time manually. This is useful when Wi-Fi is not available or when you prefer a standalone clock setup.

Does it support 12/24-hour format and DST?

Yes. You can choose 12/24-hour format, set your time zone, and toggle DST. With Wi-Fi, the clock syncs automatically through NTP.

Are alarms and timers available?

Yes. You can set alarms for weekdays, weekends, or daily use. Stopwatch and countdown timer functions are also included.

Is the brightness adjustable?

Yes. The clock supports 4-level brightness adjustment and automatic light sensing for comfortable day and night use.

Any buzzing noise?

No. The power system uses filtering and a stable driver design, making high-pitched noise inaudible in normal use.

Will it suffer ghosting or burn-in?

No. VCK 16 uses a modern VFD drive strategy designed for stable long-term display use without typical ghosting or burn-in issues.

What kind of power source should I use?

Please use a USB power source of 5V / 0.5A or above. Avoid low-quality fast chargers or outlets shared with fast-charging devices to reduce the risk of unstable power input.

What if there is a power outage?

A backup RTC battery helps keep time accurately when the clock is unplugged or after a power interruption.

Is my Wi-Fi compatible?

VCK 16 supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, 802.11 b/g/n. If your router also uses 5 GHz, please make sure the 2.4 GHz network is enabled.
